A quickie post about a beautiful girl. Hope y'all had a nice weekend. We still have today together. We may head out to the zoo. Mimi would like to see some "yions, moonkeys, goreelas and raffs". Oh yeah, and what she really want is "ba-yoons". All the colores because she "yoves ba-yoons".

Are you feeling hot, hot, hot
Today will be 96 degrees without the heat index! Come on down. Maybe a few pictures will entice you? Check out Bill and Mimi-same smile? Me thinks so too.
Emily is now enrolled in music class at *Gymboree*. We all go on Saturday mornings for 45 minutes. She loves it! She also has a little friend there. His name is Jackson. Emily calls him "Jacks". She loves all the "intamins" (instruments). Emily owns an accordian, a guitar, a small keyboard, a drum, maracas, tambourine, xylophone and a microphone. Do you think that's a good assortment? We do too. Apparently she does not. She asked Bill to buy her a "tumpit" (trumpit). The girl from Epanema keeps walking. And when she passes, each one she passes, goes Aaaaaah.

Mimi's moments
These are some of the many faces and talents of Emily. Her personality is larger than life. She has charisma. Strangers have told us that as we shopped. I've never known an almost three year old to have charisma. She just sucks you in with all her deliciousness. We love her sooo much. Sorry about the sideways ballerina-don't know how to fix that! The snowman project is a craft we did together. I made mine, gave her her supplies, and by looking at mine, that is what she produced. I thought it was amazing. She was only 30 months old! She is the best. Enough gushing.
Emily knows she is not supposed to run (you're gonna fall and make blood). Bill went for a walk with her the other night and a couple went jogging past them. Without hesitation Emily shouted "NO RUNNING". If she can't do it nobody can.

Get to work
My boss and her whip. She does not like me on the "puter". She'd rather I stay in her kitchen. At least I was able to sneak in these two photos.

Different Drummer
This post is mostly pictures. My "boss" says "enough puter mommy, enough". She wants me to play "people" with her. That would be her doll house. She puts "daddy" in the chair in front of the fireplace and TV and she has "mommy" dance on the side. Then she puts mimi in the "bye-bye car" to go to the store to buy things like " cookies, nannies, chokit, and toys". She now has told me that I am "done-no more". Enjoy the photos.

Pimp My Ride
and the fine art of fibbing by an almost three year old. Emily is getting rather heavy for me to lift. Now when I get her out of her crib I put the rail down. She thinks I'm "breaking mimi's bed". When Bill arrived home from work the other day, she greeted him at the door with "come see daddy, wook mommy breaked mimi's bed". She proceeded to scrunch her face up into her dramatic "kying pace" (crying face) for added effect. And the Oscar goes to Mimi! Every morning now she tells me "mommy break the bed, daddy come home fix it". Then every night when he gets home she tells him "mommy breaked the bed agin". She has the lies down pat, now I'll teach her sarcasm. Cutest little fibber we ever met.

The Sunny Side of the Street
I hope I'm able to do this! The first photo is Bill and Mimi at Thanksgiving.(Emily at 29 mos., Bill at 630 months) To the right is mimi's "good norming" (she says that every morning) Those pics were still in Iowa. Now fast forward, Bill at 636 months and Mimi at 35 months! What a difference 6 months and sunshine makes. The last photo is where we will be today. It's supposed to be 92 and sunny today. By the way, we'll be there tomorrow too. It will be 93 and sunny. Gotta love the big "T". Hmmm, Pina Coladas anyone? Hope you enjoy the pics! Isn't she l-o-v-e-l-y!!!
Mmmmwwwaaaahhh,

A funny thing happened on the way down the stairs
Yesterday, as I was fixing Emily's hair, I grabbed one red elastic for the top of her head. Emily told me "no mommy, 2 lastics, mimi be cute baby girl". When she has two pigtails on her head, she thinks she looks like the babygirl from Monsters Inc. She is very modest, my girl.
Today, she has two pigtails with yellow "lastics". As we were coming down the stairs for her breakfast, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. She turned to me and said "so cute babygirl, daddy come home say my God mimi so pitty". The funny thing is, that is exactly what he will say!
She has her daddy wrapped tightly around her finger. And, that is exactly where he would like to stay. Nothing is better than the love from this little babygirl who loves " a hug, a kuss, ana skeez". (a hug, a kiss, and a squeeze)Then she squeals with delight. Aaaaaahhhhh.

Trying to figure it out
I did it!
Hello family and friends,
I started a blog, which started the whole world laughing. Oh, if they only knew...Remember that song? Well, I changed the words a bit. That's what I do though. I make stuff up. Sometimes. It will be up to you to figure out when I'm telling the truth.
This blog is set up for me to talk about Emily, ramble about what is not important and to share what is going on in our lives . I hope you enjoy it. When I get good at it, I'll also post pictures of things and us! Please feel free to leave a comment. Be nice-it's for Emily to read too!
Love,
Mimi's Mommy
